Professional Experience
Mr. Green formed Green Environment inc. (GEI) in 1991 after acquiring thirteen years of environmental, health and safety experience at Raychem Corporation, a domestic Fortune 500 company with extensive international operations. Mr. Green managed Raychem’s corporate environmental, safety, and industrial hygiene programs, including an internal staff of fifteen professionals and a cadre of environmental, health and safety (EH&S) consultants. Mr. Green was responsible for developing corporate EH&S policies and objectives, managing the development and implementation of corporate EH&S programs, and auditing company EH&S performance based upon regulatory requirements and quality management principles. Mr. Green was a key member of Raychem’s international EH&S Committee and conducted environmental audits of company operations in Europe. Mr. Green was the primary corporate EH&S regulatory agency liaison, directly managed extensive site soil/groundwater characterization and remediation projects, and assisted the public relations department officer in community and governmental environmental affairs.
At GEI, Mr. Green has provided consultation services to government, industry, and private parties including progressive EH&S management and regulatory consultation; effective EH&S training; facility environmental permitting; client EH&S management system audits with a focus on quality and client profitability; Phase I/II environmental site assessments for commercial and industrial properties; and project management for remediation of chemically contaminated building surfaces, soils, and groundwater.

Professional Experience
Ms. Ackerman has over 25 years experience in a diversified set of industries and currently focuses on the biotech and pharmaceutical sectors. At GEI, she heads the Permitting and Compliance Solutions Group. Ms. Ackerman has designed and implemented EH&S compliance programs for a variety of clients, tailoring the programs to the needs of the client.
Ms. Ackerman has used her construction background to successfully design construction site air monitoring plans that meet the requirements of regulatory authorities, while permitting the contractor to proceed without unnecessary delay.
Ms. Ackerman has prepared applications for air emission permits for Bay Area clients, which have been approved without requiring the facilities to install costly pollution abatement equipment.
Prior to joining GEI, she managed environmental affairs in the Northeast for a $22 billion transportation company. Ms. Ackerman ensured compliance with a wide variety of federal, state, and local regulations in over 50 facilities, while personally managing complex site remediation projects. Compliance issues included industrial stormwater and wastewater discharges, above- and under-ground fuel storage tanks, hazardous waste handling and storage, confined space, machine guarding, and hazard communication.

Professional Experience
As Manager of the Real Estate Solutions & Strategies Division of GEI, Mr. Wellise brings experience from both the public and private sectors. As a Physical Scientist for the United States Geological Survey, Water Resources Division, he was involved in ongoing studies investigating the effects of trace metals in freshwater and estuarine environments and treatment methods on near-shore biology and geochemistry. Additionally, Mr. Wellise conducted research on the biochemical transport processes of organic pesticides in aquatic environments.
Currently, Mr. Wellise is directly involved with GEI’s clients’ needs in the areas of site and building environmental assessments. More specifically, he manages GEI’s building assessment studies, environmental site assessment (Phase I, II), and contaminated site cleanup projects. In the past, Mr. Wellise has also worked with GEI clients to help them maintain EH&S compliance, developing and implementing cost effective EH&S strategies for companies in the manufacturing, technology, and life science industries.
Mr. Wellise has private sector experience in technical project management and marketing working for Sun Microsystems, Inc.

Professional Experience
Dr. Studemeister has more than fifteen years of geoscience and project management experience. He has been in responsible charge of over 100 environmental projects in the San Francisco Bay Area. His breadth of experience includes airports, retail service stations, industrial facilities, construction sites, and commercial developments. Dr. Studemeister has successfully interfaced with regulatory agencies to investigate and mitigate releases of hydrocarbons, solvents, and other pollutants to surface, soil, and groundwater environments.
Recent Experience:
Environmental Consultant, Stanford Linear Accelerator, Stanford, CA:
Conducted preliminary site assessments and investigations of multiple sites at SLAC. Performed historical document research, field investigation, and report preparation. Evaluated potential chemical impacts at various sites, developed sampling plans and project budgets, oversaw work performed by outside contractors/consultants, developed work scopes, and conducted water quality and risk assessments.
Groundwater Remediation and Risk Assessment at the ICT Facility, San Jose, CA:
This multi-year study included groundwater monitoring program, pump-&-treat system monitoring, and evaluation of the effectiveness of groundwater remediation. A risk-based assessment based on the RWQCB Non-Attainment Policy succeeded in RWQCB-approval to discontinue pump-&-treat and implement a long-term monitoring program.
